This is the opposite situation of the burned book, which was dropped near the Garrideb house but found at the crime scene. Since two items moved, there is reason to question Beate's claim that nothing was moved.
Ryunosuke claims that someone tampered with the crime scene. He accuses Officer Beate of moving all the evidence across the street. That way, he could claim the crime took place outside of his beat, and he could have his anniversary dinner. That means the crime originally took place, by the Garrideb house.
Officer Beate confesses that Ryunosuke is correct. He did tamper with the crime scene.
