Great Days 8 Bit Remix - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
110i had planned to release a new batch of original songs today but i figured since i just finished this last night i may as well upload it. pixel art is shit and rushed because doing jojo designs in pixel art fucking sucks and i put this video together late last night.
it's been over a year since i've talked about jojo last. i still think it's mostly gay and overrated yet that part 1 is still really good. i have a soft spot for muscle men in chinese cartoons in the least gay way possible. it is worth noting however, that my fondness only overrides my contrarianism when the work in question is actually good. anyways, because i've already talked about this series before, i guess i could talk about the tie-in video games.
the capcom arcade game - heritage for the future - is fucking fantastic. i'm not what you'd call a big fighting game expert, but i like tekken and a select few of the street fighter games. the fact that hftf is up there with tekken 4 as being one of my favorite fighting games ever should speak to the quality of the game going by how picky i am in regard to fighting games. the roster in hftf is made up of pretty much every significant member of the part three cast, each with their unique stands which can be activated during battle passively or just for individual input attacks. it's a brilliant system that makes stands feel connected with the player as opposed to being a seperately controlled entity or total fucking dead weight. movement is also enhanced when certain stands are activated, which makes the already fast and fluid movement even better. some of the shit you can pull with just the basic movement and dodges in this game is fucking absurd. i like fighting games with movement that works well for their purposes. i like the grounded nature of tekken's movement where every motion and sidestep has real weight to it and can be used strategically because the movement is what sets a fighting game apart from their contemporaries. it's the entire reason as to why street fighter x tekken was such a novel idea because the very concept of applying street fighter's established systems to tekken would wildly change what made tekken unique. if every fighting game played like super turbo shit would have gotten stale really fast. i hate mortal kombat because it has little to set itself apart from other fighting games beyond muh reddit gore. i don't like a single mk game. 3 was as close as the series ever got to being good. hftf is one of the most unabashedly unique fighting games i've played and despite my mixed feelings on the source material i would reccomend it even if you aren't a big fighting game guy. i'd not reccomend something not worth your time but if you're going to play just one fighting game in your entire life then you owe it to yourself to play sf2 super turbo, sf3 third strike, or tekken 4. people shit their pants over how great tekken 3 is but 4 is just better. i've always been a "substance over style" kind of guy as far as video games go but i really do think that the style of tekken 4 is what sets it above what preceded and followed it.
i keep having to remind myself to stay on track and not trail off from hftf but you know what? fuck that shit. i slept for like four hours a night pretty much all week and cannot be asked to put actual effort in to writing about hftf.

i was never super big in to the competitive fighting game scene because i may be a minority but i'm not THAT much of a minority, y'know? i've never much cared for fgc tournament videos on the internet because i cannot be asked to watch a crowd of walking soyjaks shit their pants over super smash bros but i do find lowtiergod funny. if you don't know about ltg, you'd best read up about him on encyclopedia dramatica - which is hosted on a new domain, by the way. encyclopediadramatica.top - so that you, too, may be enlightened. besides that, i've always found the fighting game community to be the bottom-feeders of the internet. about on the same level as nintendo fans, they are. it also seems that there is a pretty significant amount of overlap considering how many nintendo drone cucks and homos are really in to watching smash tournaments and making the players in to massive e-celebs. it's all very gay in a figurative sense.

there isn't really an important lesson today or a definitive statement as i like to do sometimes. so just have a good day. i'm going to go out later and buy some shit for my car because i'm sick of burning my hands on the wheel. gotta get one of those slip covers from canadian tire; the most depressing place in all of canada besides brampton.
