Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin[a] is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows. It is a spinoff title in the Monster Hunter series and a sequel to Monster Hunter Stories (2016). The game is scheduled to release worldwide on July 9, 2021. The story begins with the mass disappearance of Rathalos around the world. As the descendant of the legendary Rider named Red, the player character has a fateful encounter with a white-haired wyverian girl, Ena, who has been entrusted with a Rathalos egg. A flightless Rathalos with small black wings bursts out of the egg, which is said to bring ruin to the world in time. A new adventure awaits you in this second installment of the turn-based RPG series set in the world of Monster Hunter! Become a Rider and form bonds with friendly monsters known as Monsties to fight alongside them as you take part in an epic story. In this video DreamcastGuy does a brutally honest review talking about why this game is a good RPG but a strange Monster Hunter spin off in general while showing gameplay and combat including a few boss fights in a review style format. You play as the grandson of Red, a legendary Rider.
