Step into the shoes of the Monster Hunter from the mysterious Order and save the city of Lichtenheim from a Nightmare coming from another dimension. Apprehend the thief of the powerful artifact and unravel the secrets of your own past!

Sylvia, an acolyte of the monster hunting Order, loses her memory. One year later, the Incarceri Stone – a powerful artifact that binds Koshmaar, a horrifying creature from another world – is stolen! Sylvia and her master, Solomon, embark on a quest that will lead them into the city of Lichtenheim, where they will face the thief whose identity will come as no less a shock than the creepy characters she will meet on her way.

The heroine and her mentor will need to face Maskwraiths – humans corrupted by Koshmaar whose demonic appearance reflects the sins they have committed. The greatest challenge our protagonists will have to overcome, however, will be the dark secrets from their past.

Can Sylvia reclaim the Incarceri and thwart Koshmaars’s plans?
Inspired by Surrealism as well as western European gothic, the visuals in The Dark City are both dark and colorful, scary and beautiful in equal measure. The game draws you in to its imaginative, moody locations such as Lichtenheim’s narrow streets enclosed by high walls, the medical academy full of scary exhibits, and the unreal necropolis – a place between a dream and reality.
