Description:
Sorey is one of the few humans capable of seeing magical beings known as Seraphim. While exploring ruins near the Seraphim village Elysia, he and Mikleo find a human knight and learn of the outside world, which is being plagued by Malevolence, causing misfortune, strife, and demonic transformations. Sorey soon finds himself tasked with solving this outbreak of Malevolence, but he must do so without succumbing to it himself.

Talk to Rose and the Sparrowfeathers, who plan to petition the Hyland government about Alisha's charge.
When you enter Glaivend Basin, you're treated to a video cutscene where the Hyland and Rolance soldiers do battle, resulting in many dead within the first few minutes.

General Landon tries to order Sorey around, but Sorey is only going to bring Hyland victory, through his own methods.
I fought the random battles in Intense mode in preparation for unlocking Chaos and it's really forcing me to try harder than ever. I have to armatize in order to survive bad plays!
Sorey overhears that the troops are going to abandon the Woodsmen, so the party steps in and defeats all the Rolance soldiers that are pinning down the Woodsmen. The soldiers can't see the Seraphim and can't efficiently fight what they can't see, so they flee in terror. Even Lucas is shaken despite being rescued.

In a video cutscene, Sorey continues using Armatus artes to force the entire Rolance army to retreat.

Despite the victory, there are still Hellions roaming about.
General Landon wants to continue pursuing the Rolance soldiers even though they're retreating.
Unfortunately, an extremely powerful and Malevolent domain causes all the soldiers to start turning into Hellions, driving them mad to the point where they can't tell friend from foe. Landon himself fully transformed into a Hellion due to his resentment of the Shepherd.

He's pretty easy despite being the first boss I fight on Intense. This is probably because he's a tutorial for using Mystic Artes. Yes, Sorey finally learns how to use his MA, Bolt Tempest.

24:44 Lord of Calamity
The Hellion in charge of this domain is none other than Heldalf, the Lord of Calamity. He's so strong that he can easily catch the fire Armatus's blade with his bare hands and erase Sorey's Resonance with a single roar. Sorey is too weakened to fight off the Hellionized soldiers, but the female assassin saves him. However, she is struck by a thrown spear and her mask falls off.

Sorey wakes up and finds that the assassin is actually Rose, the leader of the Sparrowfeathers. Turns out the merchant guild and the assassin guild are one and the same.
Sorey has to carry her to the guild's hideout so that any pursuers will mistakenly assume she's too wounded to fight.
A bunch of bandit kids show up, but the assassins ambush them. However, Rose gives them some money and tells them to quit the bandit life.
At the hideout entrance, Rose introduces Sorey to Mayvin, an old explorer who is also well-versed in the Celestial Record.
38:02 Tintagel Ruins
You can't explore all the rooms yet, so rest up. Afte resting, Sorey regains his Resonance and can see the Seraphim again. Lailah states that this happened because Heldalf's domain overpowered Sorey's.
Sorey tries to use the hand-holding method to get Rose to hear the Seraphim, but this just scares her.
Dezel, the Wind Seraph who travels with the Scattered Bones, shows interest in the Armatus and wonders if Rose can use this power.
Sorey wants to fight Heldalf again, but the Seraphim advise against this. Instead, it's better to explore the ruins for more clues.
