0:00 Crossing Driftworld Core
Some of the traps, such as the carnivorous plant, really did a number on my equipment durability. It becomes necessary to either bring Scores of Fashionista or have a few spare sets of armor.
1:37 Crossing Driftworld Core: Hollow
There's a difficult puzzle here, and your reward is a key item that lets you listen to the BGM of this dungeon cluster.
9:19 Crossing Driftworld Core P2
9:36 Arc Monster: Slime Queen
Some dungeons have powerful enemies known as Arc Monsters. They're optional and in some cases, harder than the actual boss of the dungeon.
The Slime Queen is weak to light damage, but like other slimes, she resists most other elements. She can bind you and summon more slimes. I recommend putting Tarte in light mode for this one. If you have the Holly Staff, you can actually deal decent melee damage because its melee attack counts as light.
The only good news is that she has a 100% chance to drop her gem. Make sure not to incinerate it, since it's necessary for something later.
19:26 Boss: Canavarı Alias
At first, it'll look like a girl is guarding the Heart Fragment, but it turns out to be a Ganger.
This boss camps in the water and shoots water projectiles at you, so you may want to equip water resisting gear and the electric ring. She can summon weak minions that might drop stuff.
To break her shield, you must wait for her to get close enough to the platform to Foxtrot or try to hit her with logs. Once you enter turn-based mode, you can spam electric spells while she's in the water. Eventually, she'll break the platform into multiple pieces that you can jump between, but the procedure for breaking her shield is mostly the same.
Note that if you also killed the Arc Monster, you get an additional 20% to your stage score.
27:42 Heart Fragment
Hoop and their partner were watching the battle, and despite our victory, they still plan to kill Satsuki/Karen and Tarte for breaking the rules of the Church of Elicio.
We see a memory of Rumi refusing to let Karen participate in the next recital, since Karen is standing out too much compared to the senior members of the Brass Band. Karen retorts that the other members aren't practicing hard enough. Rumi accuses Karen of being disruptive to the club and throws a pencil bag at her, but Hayato jumps in front of the projectile. Hayato calls her out for using the club as a place to goof off rather than passionately practicing music, and then resigns from the club. Karen follows after him and ditches the club too.
30:30 New Elemental Enchant
You can choose a new element for Tarte to use. I recommend Dark because I have no real source of Dark damage yet. This turns out to be a good choice, since there's going to be a human type boss coming up soon. Note that the Machine Hornet cannot be scanned for some reason. I think the game doesn't have scan entries for one-time enemies.
34:42 Mika's House
For some reason, Satsuki/Karen is only solid inside of the house, but not outside of it.
At this point, she is only referred to as Karen, due to getting enough of her memories back.
41:50 Amefuribashi Square
Karen can now explore more of the square due to the new Heart Fragment. She sees Hayato and Suzu arguing with Rumi because the latter vandalized their missing person poster. Rumi actually seems happy that Karen is either missing or dead, despite seeming slightly guilty about driving her out of the club in the flashback. We also learn that Karen somehow died in a plane crash 10 years ago, despite only going missing 3 months ago, and Rumi mocks Hayato and Suzu for pointing out this contradiction. It makes Rumi look very sus.
At this point, you can access two new Driftworld Portals, but only the Park Driftworld is accessible, since the Fountain Driftworld has a strange obstacle.
