Grokit VR Mixed Reality Brings Arcade-Style Games Into Your Home
I jumped into Grokit not knowing exactly what to expect. There is a mixed-reality mode which I played here, but you can also play the regular mode without passthrough if MR is not for you. I enjoyed most of the games. One of the games 'Grenade' seems to be only meant for multiplayer where you need to invite or join a friend to play. I wish there was an AI to play against for that game, and any future multiplayer game modes they come out with. Each experience is quick & bite-sized. It's fun, and I can see it being a game that I pull out to have friends and family play. But it doesn't have as much re-playability as I would like for the cost of the game. At the moment there are a few games, but there are more in development to be added. I also had a few issues with the characters or items spawning outside of my boundary. This may only affect the Mixed reality gameplay, (most likely, my room setup or boundary) but I feel that that, and the aiming mechanics for the game 'feeder' needs a bit of tweaking.
