GT 1030 vs RX 550 Frame Time Analysis w/ G4560 - CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered [ACT1 - HUNTED]
GT 1030 vs RX 550 BENCHMARK w/ Pentium G4560 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered [ACT1 - HUNTED]
This spring both AMD and NVIDIA updated their offerings for entry level/budget gamers. These sub-75W GPUs require no external power and a great pick for small form factor and HTPC builds. The Radeon RX 550 (Polaris 12, 4th-gen GCN) from AMD sports 512 stream processors and features a 128-bit wide memory bus with a 2GB / 4GB GDDR5 memory. The GeForce GT 1030 comes with 384 CUDA cores and 2GB GDDR5 video memory having a 64-bit interface.
To get things going, we benchmark the remastered edition of CoD: Modern Warfare, we picked the Hunted night mission, which goes through Captain Price's squad getting shot down in Western Russia. With 1080p and medium & normal settings the game plays fine, only the intro cut scene chokes the GPUs, especially the RX550 has a hard time maintaining playable frame rates.
