GT Cube X Lucky Star - Project (bleep) D Extend
After I took a glimpse at Lucky Star's Initial D parody, I attempted to recreate and extend that scene in a few Japanese video games, and failed miserably. First it was in Kaido Battle 2, but the customization was far too limited and the physics were just too clunky to the point where it felt like you were driving a garbage truck. Also, while Yui's Vivio RX-R was in the game, you couldn't color her car light blue, and the Rx-7 FD couldn't be colored yellow. My second attempt was Initial D: Street Stage, which is a PSP port of Arcade Stage Ver. 3. The Vivio RX-R wasn't there. Eventually, I tried doing this with GT Cube, a Japan-only street racing game pretending to be a professional motor sport video game. GT Cube had arcade-like physics, and the drifting was almost on par with the Initial D Arcade Stage series. However, because every dealership in the game was Japanese, I had to use a vehicle that looked somewhat similar to the RX-R as the FD's opponent, the Nissan March. This was the closest I could get to reenacting the (bleep) D scene as well as a When Eurobeat Kicks In Video.
