The idea here is to set your engine performance (which will also alter the car's performance points) as low as possible while still being able to barely win the race.This will give you as large a Performance Difference Adjustment bonus as possible. In this particular race, I reached first place on lap 4, which means I could have lowered the car's performance a bit more to still win the race and also receive a larger bonus. I won 1,205,100 credits with the 150% bonus, which would be 1,359,600 credits with the 200% bonus.

Keep in mind that each time you enter the event, your opponents will be slightly different, not only in car type, but also in performance. This means a specific setup might work one time, but not the next, so keep doing the race over and over again until you have the desired amount of credits. Then leave the event to spend credits, change your oil, etc.

I know there are better and faster ways to earn credits, but this is just one way that I happened to discover on my own. It's also a decent way if you don't want to "cheat".

*If you really want to tinker with the car and receive even more credits and exp you can also decrease the downforce and increase the ballast to lower the car's PP even more. Decreasing and increasing these as much as possible will barely affect the handling, but going by my lap times it will make the car slightly slower. I find this is easily fixed by boosting the engine performance a bit. Doing these things, I managed to get the car down to 542 PP and up to 446 HP as opposed to 560 PP and 439 HP as they were in the video. This netted me 1,582,080 credits with the 200% login bonus. I still had slightly slower lap times, but I was still fast enough to win the race (If you see the McLaren F1 in the starting lineup, you're better off just exiting the event and re-entering until it isn't there).
