0And so it starts, dear gamers. A series of replacement walkthroughs for my old GTA walkthroughs, the first game on the chopping block being the first 3D game in the series and the game considered by many to be the game that revolutionized open world genre. The game in question, dear gamers, is Grand Theft Auto 3 which was the very first walkthrough attempted on this channel back in February 2017 before being restarted in August that same year and finally finished in July 2018 after nearly a year of haitus. It was removed due to missing some of the missions that i didn't consider important back when making the original walkthroughs and due to poor visual and audio quality, issues that i hope to adress with this replacement, so sit back, relax and enjoy the video.
About Game: Grand Theft Auto 3 (Stylized as GTA 3 and GTA III) is 2001 open-world crime video game developed by DMA Design (currently known as Rockstar North) and published by Rockstar Games for PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox and PCs, later being re-released for PlayStation 3 and 4 as part of their respective "PS2 Classics" lineups as well as getting a mobile port for Android and iOS devices in 2011 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its original release. It is a third mainline entry in Grand Theft Auto game series. Upon release, GTA 3 was met with critical acclaim for its open-ended world design that was deemed revolutionary at the time and as result has influenced an entire generation of copycat games that were released during early-to-mid 2000s, most notable of such clones being True Crime series started in 2003 and Saints Row series started in 2006, the game's success having also been blamed for Driver series stepping away from its "glued-to-car-seat" roots and adopting a simmilar open world design starting with the series' third installment released in 2004. However, beyond its influence in crime genre of video games, GTA 3 is also notable for influencing design of other open-world games released long after 2001, having laid a groundwork that was refined by other open world games and that cemented such game design as one of the gaming mainstays. However on the flipside, at its release GTA 3 was a subject of great controversy due to its graphic depictions of violence, having been one of the numerous video games that had their content altered or removed following 9/11 terrorist attacks and having been subjected to further censorship after release in some territories such as certain European countries as well as in Australia, New Zeland and Japan. Nonetheless, the game's success has turned then already notorious GTA series into a household name, having ensured it multiple sequels released between 2002 and 2013 that ultimately turned GTA into one of the most well-known and successful video game franchises in the world.
Story of the game follows Claude, a mute bank robber who is betrayed by his girlfriend and partner in crime Catalina during the heist on the outskirts of the fictional metropolis of Liberty City, who shot him and left him to die before escaping with the loot. As the result, Claude is captured by LCPD and sentenced to ten years of imprisonment in federal prison. However, he gets a lucky break when the transfer convoy taking him and few other prisoners to the federal prison is attacked while crossing a Callahan Bridge, Claude escaping with the help of another prisoner named 8-Ball during the commotion as the attackers take one of the prisoners with them and damage the bridge with an explosive device, stranding the two on Liberty City's Portland Island that remains cut off from the rest of the city. Grateful for help during the escape, 8-Ball provides Claude with a safehouse on the edge of the Portland's Red Light District and agrees to introduce him to a local nightclub owner and pimp named Luigi Gotorelli who could get him some work, Luigi's first job for Claude being to drive over to the nearby hospital and collect one of Luigi's prostitutes named Misty and bring her back to the club...
