This mission is the first, and one of the seven missions in the game, to have a choice, where you either let someone live or get killed. It is also the first mission that involves using ladders and jumping.
Vlad tells Niko that Ivan Bytchkov has upset Mikhail Faustin, his boss, and wants Niko to kill him. Vlad explains to Niko that he persuaded Ivan to rob Roman's cab depot and wants him to kill Ivan in an act of "self-defense".
Vlad's Blista Compact will be waiting outside, from last mission "Clean Getaway". Niko gets in the car and drives to the cab depot. Upon arriving, Ivan is already making a chase, so he chases him until he stops at the construction site.
With some chasing involved, there is soon no more room for Ivan left to run. He hangs on to a broken fire escape, and Niko chooses his decision to either let Ivan live or die.
Niko chooses to kill Ivan by stomping his fingers, sending Ivan crashing to the sidewalk/road killed. Niko appears to closely follow Vlad's instructions. Either way after that, Niko refuses to work with Vlad again.
