The wait for GTA 6 feels endless, but the leaks? They just keep coming. And one of the most recent ones might be the most exciting yet. We're talking about a potential six-star wanted level, a dual-character gameplay system, Red Dead-style relationship mechanics, and even over 700 explorable interiors. If this leak turns out to be real, Rockstar could be setting a new bar for open-world games. But can we trust it?
Let’s break it all down.

The Source of the Leak
So let’s talk credibility. This leak comes from a Twitter account known as Game Row, who’s also on the staff at GTA Base. He’s the same person who leaked Jason and Lucia’s surnames weeks ago—a detail that was later confirmed.
According to him, the info comes from a friend of a Rockstar developer, and while we obviously can’t verify that, it’s worth noting that his previous leaks have checked out. Now he’s back, claiming to have received a complete list of gameplay mechanics and systems planned for GTA 6.
Let’s dive into the major ones.

Gameplay Mechanics and Systems
First up: the six-star wanted level is returning. This is huge. One of the biggest complaints about GTA V was how tame the police response felt compared to games like San Andreas. Tanks, jets, military forces—they were part of what made chaos in GTA so fun. If Rockstar’s bringing that back, it’s a big win for longtime fans.

Dual-Character Gameplay and New Controls
Possibly the biggest bombshell? The character wheel will let you play Jason solo, Lucia solo, or both characters simultaneously. That’s right—Rockstar might be giving us real-time dual-character control, not just switching like in GTA V.
It’s unclear how this will work. Will you command the second character with basic AI instructions? Will missions be scripted to swap control between them dynamically? Either way, it’s a major leap forward for mission design and co-op storytelling—without even needing multiplayer.
And get this: GTA 6 will include the ability to greet or antagonize NPCs, just like in Red Dead 2. You’ll be able to choose how to interact with people on the street, which could affect your reputation or relationships.
There’s even a Dead Eye-style ability for Jason. Time slows down and you can target weak spots. Lucia has a similar skill, but it's limited to a single precise shot. The distinction reinforces their backgrounds—Jason's military past versus Lucia’s less experienced criminal path.

Immersion, Inventory, and Realism
Rockstar seems to be pushing immersion even further. According to the leak:
• Weapon inventory is limited—you’ll store extra guns in your car’s trunk, just like stashing gear on your horse in Red Dead.
• NPCs react to weapons being drawn, which honestly should’ve been a thing years ago.
• The driving mechanics have been reworked and are said to be better than ever.
• Blood and dismemberment are reportedly based on Red Dead Redemption 2’s systems, meaning we could see ultra-realistic combat damage.
And yes, your car won’t just spawn out of thin air anymore. You’ll have to think tactically about where you leave it, especially if it’s loaded with your arsenal.

Map and World Details
As for the world itself, the leak claims GTA 6’s map is one big island, much like Vice City and previous titles. There’s no “Panhandle” region (a reference to Florida’s geography), which suggests the game will focus entirely on a stylized version of Florida.
Malls and skyscrapers will reportedly be fully explorable with elevators, and more than 700 interior locations will be accessible. Now, even the leaker admits that number sounds ambitious—but it's in line with Rockstar’s rumored goal of making this their most interactive world ever.
There’s also mention of a character named Donny, a weird friend of Jason who works for a guy named Brian. Expect colorful side characters to return in full force.

What’s Missing and Cut Content
Not everything made the cut. According to the leak, these features were dropped or never implemented:
• No fully nude sex scenes—like GTA IV and V, sex is implied, not shown.
• No listening to music outside of vehicles, despite characters wearing earbuds in trailers.
• No stealth crouch-walking—that mechanic was scrapped early on.
• No dual-wielding weapons—so don’t expect to go full Max Payne with two pistols.
• No Disney World parody—a fictional theme park was rumored but isn’t happening.
• No robbery minigames—you won’t be able to randomly walk into stores and rob them like in previous games.
Some of those cuts are disappointing. The lack of a stealth mechanic or ambient music system feels like missed opportunities. And for a game about crime, cutting small-store robberies seems odd.
