GTX 1080's Not Performing or Priced as Advertised! Has Nvidia Pulled a Bait and Switch?
ATTN: As I was Uploading this video I ran across Newegg.com Selling the MSI GTX 1080 Gaming (Sold Out of Course,) For $719... That's just a wee bit more than the $599 MSRP! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127943
Now that people are starting to get their hands on OEM GTX 1080 GPUs the real question is how much further can the cards go with custom cooling and better power phase designs? Well apparently not much better than the Reference "Founder's Edition" cards. At this point it seem most reviewers can't match or barely meet the 2100+ Core clock shown at Nvidia's event last month. Also Jay from Jayztwocents found a posting for OEM 1080's listed as high as $750. Since OEM cards are usually more expensive than Reference, is Nvidia's MSRP going to be completely ignored? Did Nvidia cherry pick the absolute best GPU to showcase?
