AMD Reveals the RX 480 for $199! Can AMD Overtake Nvidia with Guerrilla Tactics?
AMD dropped the bomb at Computex 2016. Targeting, what I would consider the Mainstream, gamer with their Radeon RX 480 with an MSRP of only $199. This card will deliver 5+/-TFLOPS of performance putting it in the realm of the current R9 390 or GTX 980. However with architectural improvements it may be MUCH faster. The real question is will AMD's drivers keep the RX 480 (and future RX 480X,) competative, and will DirectX 12 provide AMD the bump to push past the new GTX 1070?
