Guernsey Wedding Highlight Film: Alana & James' Wedding by Evoke Wedding Photography & Videography
It’s hard to describe this weekend in less than 100,000 words.
It was epic and by far our busiest weekend yet, with seven of the Evoke team supporting our amazing couples. We have to thank both Alana Gillies & James Ridout for challenging us with our biggest wedding yet - 17-hours of non-stop wedding action that constantly blew our minds. We only stopped for 10-minutes for a burger and I didn’t wee for 13-hours 😂
Anything that prevents me that long from a wee deserves more than just a few words…
The party started in the evening on Friday and you could already see the stunning decoration by Spotted Kandy Events, Simply Bespoke & Bonboniera at Old Government House Hotel and Spa, with music by James Bransford & John Le Sauvage - John performed both days.
The party was due to end by 10pm, but you can imagine how well that went!
We arrived first thing ready for their Guernsey parkrun and the Ridout Gillies team got first place in both categories.
We then returned back to the Old Government House Hotel and Spa to Alana Gillies who had been transformed from a mildly hanging 5K runner to stunning bride by Shanine Levrier Makeup Artistry & House of Hair. Browns Bride supplied her incredible Vivienne Westwood dress, complimented perfectly with sparkly JIMMY CHOO shoes, with a special Ray & Scott Jewellers gift from James.
James was looking dapper and fully kitted out by Souster & Hicks the bespoke tailors, Woburn.
Whitedove conducted a stunning and personal ceremony in the Regency Room with ambient lighting and sound by iMAG Displays, who also supported an incredible show throughout the reception and into the night with music by John Randall and climaxed to an amazing performance by Episode2 and a delicious Cheese Cake by Rouge - Wine & Cheese.
We finished the evening off with a brand new service that we’ll be officially launching soon (only delayed by a year due to covid moving their wedding four times)!
The team at the Old Government House Hotel and Spa, led by Andrew, could not have done more for anyone, whether they were guests or suppliers - they went above and beyond and provided exemplary service throughout the day and well, well into the night.
But if there’s one thing that stood out, it was how kind Alana, James, their families, and all their guests were to all of us supporting their event - constantly showing their appreciation to our hard work. They wanted to include everyone into their special day and so many of the OGH staff were encouraged to join in during the evening celebrations - the atmosphere was truly electric.
