This is the second story instance Of A Crack in the Ice. This one involves taking down the Abomination, an Icebrood who has inherited the powers of Zhaitan and Mordremoth.
It's very simple. While it's not very tough and it was built up to be stronger but at least this instance does give you an idea of the mechanics of it before you go in. So basically kill the larva while they are near the boss so they will hurt him. Do note that one a larva dies, it kills the opposite type of larva so prepare accordingly to maximize damage. I apparently got an achievement here for conserving larva lol.. I don't know if you can run out of them.
I actually like this instance for being the one that actually does explain the mechanics to you a lot better. This is something that the last battle in this episode should have done.
Also, while on the subject what was up with that Jotun you can find on the mountains near the hotspring? Why does he use a Risen voice? lol. Did he inherit Risen powers too? Well it made my day hearing "Death GOOD!" after all of this time.
