Guilty Gear 2: Overture - 1. Raven perfect battle
8Raven is relatively easy, as the first boss should be. The boss himself is pretty passive and rarely does any attacks and the ones he does up close are easy to avoid. You can block his claw attack, but ramming attack and mid-jump projectile have to be dodged.
The best way of attacking him is juggling him with the standard X-X-X Lock-On combo. You can even juggle him with it up to two times (Lock-On, then X-X-X, forward dash, X-X-X, forward dash, X-X-X), but the timing is a bit tricky.
After Raven teleports, the first thing he does is setting up a slow field. After he does that, you need to close distance ASAP, because he will eventually cast a spell that will slow you down regardless. You can either remove the slow fields by destroying the central spike, or ignore them. The choice is yours. The spikes do drop as items, which you can use to instantly stun Raven.
As for his attacks, he can summon spikes in different formations. You can Lock-On and Blast Drive towards him, while he recovers from the attack. Be careful when he launches spikes in a circle around himself, he does it multiple times in a row.
After he's down to 1/2 HP, he will dissolve into mist and turn into a flock of birds that will charge at you. You can kill them or ignore them. They sometimes drop treasure chests. After he's done with that, simply return to the standard routine.
