Guilty Gear 2: Overture - 5. Diva Fortress perfect battle
11Final boss is somewhat hard. The fight starts with you on the ground below the boss. You need to gradually move towards the boss while avoiding her attacks, which include walls of fire, machinegun fire (which can be blocked for some reason) and fire bombs, which are avoided using the method I like to call dumb luck. You need to survive until the boss stops and creates a portal underneath herself. On Hard, you need to survive for around 40 seconds.
Once you go through the portal, the real fight starts. It can be either relatively easy or very hard depending on how a certain attack of hers will go. Most of her attacks are either claw swipes and ground slams, which are telegraphed well enough to be easy to dodge. You can also break her hands, which will make her use one of two special attacks (depending of which hand you broke), and both are avoided by moving away from her. She will be stunned after these attacks, so use the opportunity to damage her.
She also has a pretty cool big-ass laser attack (think Gamma Ray) that doesn't do much damage but will throw you back down on the ground. I hope you liked seeing it once, because I'm not letting her do it again: This attack can be stopped by a well-placed Volcanic Viper. She will be stunned for some time after that, too.
Now, the biggest problem are the black holes that she creates around the arena. While they don't actually deal damage, they take you to a Gainax Mindscrew Dimension, where you will have to sit on your ass and wait for around a minute, which is pain the arse. The problem is that the black holes can (and often do) appear in very inconvenient places and prevent you from attacking.
After you deplete the boss' health bar, you will be transported into the same mindscrew dimension, where you need to kill Valentine's normal form. Thankfully, it's not very hard, since she doesn't ever use her specials, meaning you can block all of her attacks and take no damage, but be patient, since two of her normals come out very fast and can easily hit you when you least expect it.
