Behold, the cheesiest and easiest way to destroy the Golem Summoner in GBM. Use Grub (or Lightning) in position 1. You will want at least one mobile who can create a nice hole to put the summoner into. I used Armor's shot1. Others include Bigfoot, J.Frog, Plaz, Turtle, Raon/DarkRaon, Nak, and Blank. If using Lightning, JD might be preferable for support but Lightning can dig his own holes with S1. This hole-making mobile can go in slot 2 or 3, and the 3rd mobile can be anyone.

The strategy is simple, Using Grub or Lightning, Super-Sky-Shot (S1 for Grub, either for Lightning but probably S2 primarily) and land basically anywhere near the Golem Summoner for double hits. You will receive 2 or more bars of SS meter every turn, and will generally fill it in 3 turns (with other bonuses like wind master, it can be done in 2). During these initial turns, use your hole-making mobile to, naturally, pit the Golem Summoner into a hole. Your third mobile should just be unloading more damage on the summoner in the meantime and will help pick off the Armors. Once you have your SS, it should only take 2 (possibly just one with a well placed Dual-SS, make sure you save those) shots to destroy the summoner. Then pick off the Armor lackies in the standard fashion, and you win. EZPZ!

[*EDIT* May 2020: the B-class Jewel Seeker avatars in the 30 gem theme pack no longer have 2 purple slots. Why the developers did this I can't say. However, I have it on good word that you can still find the double-purple avatars randomly in the gear avatar pack. Providing this true, they're much harder to get and require using up a much more valuable resource. I recommend just using regular avatars with single purple slots instead of wasting gears if you missed the boat and do not have them.]

If you are grinding for gold, I recommend investing in 2 or 3 of the new B-class jewel hunter avatars. They have 2 purple slots each and with each one filled with a decent gold-bonus purple jewel, you should get somewhere close to 1,500 gold per victory. But remember, you can only beat this event 20 times before it is cleared for good. Every once in a great while, the developers will 'reset' this and allow players to clear these events again.
