This is Gunfighter 2: The Legend of Jesse James. A fun lightgun shooter for the PS1.

This game takes its cues from Time Crisis, utilising the exact same control mechanisms established in the earlier Namco game, where you can adopt the attack position by holding down a button and take cover and reload by releasing that button (this can be inverted in the options).

Also copied from Time Crisis is the ability to treat a regular controller in Port 2 as a pedal - any button on a controller connected to Port 2 will act as the attack/hide button so you can just hook it up, todd it on thefloor and step on it - not perfect but I've used the parts from a faulty dualshock controller to make a pedal for that arcade touch. So stepping on the pedal will put me in the attack positon for shooting, and releasing the pedal by stepping back will put me into cover to reload.

I'm playing this on an unmodified PS2 using the Namco G-Con45 (Guncon) lightgun and my diy footpedal.
