Gunscape's selling point is a platform with which you can create your own old-school first-person shooter and upload the results for the world to download, play and judge harshly. We do just that last part in the above video, jumping in for a bit of split-screen co-op with two players on one of Gunscape’s retro levels.

Our potluck level selection serves up an alien world full of slime rivers, mole monsters and hoverboot jerks, as well as a selection of vanilla weapons with which to defend ourselves.

Pro tip: make sure the person with the gun is also the person with the bullets, we learned that the hard way.

Gunscape comes out on release date 2 March 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac and Linux.
