Call of duty has just revealed the new weapon create a class system in Modern Warfare 2 called Gunsmith 2.0 and it's a massive improvement to previous games. Weapons now belong in a weapon platform or family and as you progress through the unlocks of the platform you unlock a new receiver which is the main body of a new weapon. This means that all of the attachments you've already unlocked in that platform can be instantly used on your new weapon without the need for hours of grinding on every new gun!
