Leveling in GW2 isn't particularly difficult. If anything, the most confusing part of leveling is just understanding where to put your traits and trying to learn what's effective. With the engineer, this is very important to learn as you also try to understand your kits, elixirs, tool belt skills and adapt accordingly.
So with that in mind, here's a video that shows my thought processes when I was building my engi traits.
