If you "dismiss" your Mech, it will still assist you with aerial attacks ( randomly ) which does 1k dmg approx which is pretty good for range or simply assistance from above.

Dismissing your Mech is good if it's health is low. If your Mech dies, it will take 100 sec to respawn him. Which is why "dismissing" him is better then to wait 100 sec respawn timer. OR, you can use the ultimate to re-summon him to the expanse of actually using his weapon as ultimate for dps.
