Deathless. Played on original front-loader NES console using two controllers (1p2c). This run abides by the rules of the leaderboard at www.speedrun.com/Gyromite.

Gyromite DOWN! Execution wasn't flawless, but RNG was way too good. This run probably has the potential to go as low as 24 45 with equivalent RNG, but that would likely require a stupid amount of grinding on my part. I got my goal time, so I think I'll let this one rest for now.


Run Notes (by Phase)

01-07: OK
08: Small mess up on the first gate, but made up for it with some quick ropes. When you're moving horizontally from rope to rope, you can sorta wiggle the d-pad up and down to skip through some of the animations. Not sure if there's a consistent way to do it though.
09: OK
10: Had to reroute this one because the RNG was nuts. Forced to wait for the smick on the rope, lost ~1 second.
11: RNG, lost ~2.5 seconds.
12: OK
13: Botched the blue gate skip, lost ~3 seconds.
14-16: OK
17: A case of stupid RNG here. For some reason, coming off the rope onto that top platform you can't drop the turnip. It's normally difficult to drop turnips anyway, but here it's impossible., so I lost ~2 seconds.
18: RNG, lost ~1.5 seconds.
19-21: OK
22: Had some movement issues, lost ~1.5 seconds.
23-31: OK
32: Fell early, lost ~2 seconds, and ~0.5 seconds more on the turnip drop.
33-39: OK
40: Had a hard time with the quick grab at the top, lost ~1.5 seconds, plus ~1 second more falling from the upper deck.
