Having fun manipulating commercial networks, a novice hacker does almost the impossible: he breaks into the protection of Gibson's secret computer at the Ellington Corporation. At the same time, he accidentally connects to a scheme of embezzlement of funds, artfully disguised by someone as a computer virus, the action of which can lead to a global environmental catastrophe.

A young hacker and his friends turn into suspects in a split second. The hunt for them begins with the FBI and the chief computer scientist of the Ellington Corporation, nicknamed the Plague (Fisher Stevens). However, young hackers reveal the ruinous nature of the Plague's true plans and combine their technical knowledge to launch a massive cyberspace attack that should clear them of suspicion and prevent an environmental catastrophe.
