Chapter Information: Twenty years after the events at Black Mesa, Gordon Freeman reawakens in the eastern European city known as City 17 arriving at an old train station after the G-Man reawakens him from stasis.

Encountering various City 17 Citizens and Civil Protection Officers who are inhabiting the dystopian city as large screens broadcast Dr. Breen talking to his subjects throughout the large city, Gordon navigates his way through the old train station and reunites with Barney and Dr. Kleiner from Black Mesa who explains how he can get to his laboratory hidden in the City's industrial district.

After leaving the train station and entering a large plaza square, Gordon makes his way over to an apartment complex and after narrowly escaping Civil Protection Officers, Gordon reunites with his old allies from Black Mesa and meets a few new allies as well.
