2024 update:
Ok, so I saw someone making an addon for this mod and thought it was kinda complex to install, so decided to replace the pickup sprites by my own.
That being said, I was also in the mood of making few more fixes (I abandoned project hellslinger, so I had some extra time and I was in the mood of coping with old projects, so here it is)
i have no future plans to update this mod, just wanted to rebalance it, to make it more playable and fix few issues I had, plus updated zandronum version and included few multiplayer level for your amusement.
This year's changelog:
Added default keybinds for alternate fire/reload/flashlight keys.
Created a hotkey for toggeable flashlight.
Activated hl2/alyx music by default.
Crossbow is now spawned in Supershotgun slot.
Bugbait is now spawned in bfg9000 slot.
Merged all weapon related sndinfo files into one.
merged pak0 and pak1 into one file.
Swapped slot 3 and 4 weapons (shotgun/crossbow is now slot4, smg/osi is now slot3. Slot orders can be changed back on mod options menu.)
Bugbait moved into slot6. (Slot orders can be changed back on mod options menu.)
Added extra damage to crowbar while using berserk.
Replaced weapon/ammo pickups with sprites that were edited by viictor1
Replaced gravity gun spawn sprite.
Modified shotgun regular spread pattern to be close to vanilla values.
Replaced health/armor icon pickups with sprite variants.
Fixed music script misbehaviour (Music changed each time a new player joined a match)
Added extra shotgun casing while alternate fire.
Added tracer to OSI regular fire.
Fixed pistol no longer firing after bot reloaded the gun.
Updated zandronum sourceport to 3.1
Added 5 freedm levels, for deathmatch mode. Retextured with HL Textures.
Tweaked menudef skirmish menu.
Reduced SMG fire volume.
Added selection order to all guns, close to vanilla values.
Added optional monsters, taken from QCDE.
Minor scale tweaks to few pickups.
Gravity gun is no longer available on deathmatch.
Sightly rebalanced weapons to match better hl2's balance.
rebalance list: (most of the guns have classic random(1,3) damage, so these are minimal damage values. Idk if hl2 has randomizer.)
Crowbar regular: 12 to 10 (hl2 is 10)
Crowbar berserk: 12 to 60 (damage wasn't upgraded before)
Pistol: still 8 (hl2 is 15)
357: 30 to 60 (hl2 is 40 body, 80 headshot)
Smg: still 6 (hl2 is 4)
smg altfire: still the same (hl2 is max 45)
Osi: 10 to 12 (hl2 is 8)
osi altfire: 28 per tic to 40 per tic (hl2 is instakill)
Sg regular: max 33 to max 48 (2x16 to 6x8), decreased vertical spread.
Sg alt: max 72 to max 100 (2x36 to 5x20)
Crossbow: still max 96 (hl2 is max 100)
Gren: still max 150 (hl2 is max 125), radius still the same
Rpg: Still max 400 (hl2 is max 200), radius still the same
Bugbait: 225 to 125 (hl2 is 0, but it spawns antlions), radius 256 to 128
Bugbait alt: 300 to 200 (hl2 is 0, but it spawns antlions), radius still 256
