I figured it would be extra fun to install from an original CD for this run! So, I did. Had to patch it for it to run, but other than that, this is the original experience. I've been thinking about this kind of thing a lot lately, about how the experiences of games change with time, and what exactly makes a game age gracefully versus not.

Also, the last time I streamed this, the game had a tendency to crash every time I opened the menus, so I did the sensible thing today, and I'm using the Steam version.

Just kidding, I installed the game on an old netbook with Windows XP installed that doesn't have the same compatibility issues that Windows 10 does, and I'm using a VGA-to-composite converter in order to capture the gameplay for this stream. It's a retro-tastic Frankenstein chain of inputs, outputs, and converters! Plus, I'm playing the game on a CRT today.
