The rough cut of Halo 3’s opening cutscene debuted as part of the "Microsoft Games: People Power, Patches and Possibilities" presentation at Microsoft’s Gaming And Disability Boot Camp to an overwhelmingly positive response. Now, after some re-recording, here’s the final version.

Both the audio description and the footage utilised in this video are recorded by me and all editing is mine with a little sighted assistance to sync everything up.

As before, it was great to see the reaction to the world premier of this demonstration of just how much information sighted players take for granted and gamers without sight, like myself, miss out on. I look forward to seeing developers bring this form of accessibility, which is common and standard in other industries, into videogames. Should any developers have any questions about this video or the implementation of audio description into titles (as well as other questions on gaming without sight from my perspective), please feel free to ask here.
