Me for one is personnel shocked as to how much new features are loaded in Halo 5: Guardians in comparison to previous halo games
The main campaign features Two Protagonists in the form of Master Chief and Spartan Agent Jameson Locke. Each are aided by their own squads, Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris respectively.
there is also New Mission Structures that has so much variety. with stunning open environments and the new battlefields are loaded with enemies to keep your trigger finger occupied for quite some time. There is also more focus and great emphasis on the story and exploration.
Four Player Co-operative Campaign
New refined game Mechanics
Such as Smart-Link Aiming System, Revamped Mobility and Requisition System (REQ System)
Multiplayer
New Mode - Warzone
Halo 5 contains a brand new MOBA-inspired multiplayer mode calleq2which is a 24-player battle that combines elements of PvP and PvE. and its rumoured that some of the Typical Warzone matches can last up to 30 minutes.
Arena Mode
If the new Warzone mode isn't your cup of tea, Halo 5 will also include a 4v4 Arena mode that follows the traditional multiplayer structure seen in classic Halo games. Arena mode contains the following game types: Breakout, Strongholds, Slayer, and Capture the Flag.
• Breakout - This game type has teams clashing against each other to be the first to win five rounds. Players only have one life per round and weaker shields, making it much easier to die. A round ends when all members of a team have been eliminated.
• Slayer - Players need only accomplish one thing in this Team Deathmatch game type: kill as many of the opposing team as possible before time runs out. It's worth noting that variants return here. For example, the fan-favorite SWAT has its own official playlist.
• Strongholds - This game type requires a team to capture and remain in control of three static zones on a map. The first to reach 100 points wins. it's important to note that a team can only start scoring points when they've controlled at least two zones.
• Capture the Flag - Series veterans will know this classic game type all too well. In order to win, a team must capture the opposing team's flag and bring it back to their homebase.
There is also the New Forge Mode
which basically is a custom multiplayer map editor and features over 1,600 objects to customize maps with and a laundry list of improvements over previous iterations, such as multi-select/edit, new object types, improved control scheme, and more
For me I am looking forward to getting my hands on this title as I haven’t really played a shooter for ages. I am quite intrigued to see how the so called 60 FPS plays out
The decision to target 60fps gameplay across the entire game is the boldest decision 343 takes in redefining Halo for the new generation of console hardware.
A less than ideal frame-rate never seemed to hold the series back before but the decision to aim for 60fps in the new game benefits everyone in the end.
the question on everyones lips is how the Forge mode will hold up when it is released in December. This mode allows users to craft map variants from a huge selection of objects so given how in-depth this mode sounds it will be quite interesting too see how 343 plays out this mode. It features over 1,600 objects to customize maps with and a laundry list of improvements over previous iterations, such as multi-select/edit, new object types, improved control scheme, and more.
As many may question the visual aspects of Halo 5 which I feel looks pretty cool, the gameplay does look smooth and fun.
