Here we are at the final optional boss and under most circumstances one of the hardest ones.

Reinforcements will arrive almost immediately and you aren't just fighting Mal you're fighting an army.

The way to make this fight much MUCH easier is capture all the FOBs, save the marine squadrons, and do whatever it takes to get your valor over 2000 so you can get a scorpion and bring a squad of marines along because this one is actually next to a fob. As scorpion has the necessary firepower to deal with Mal and his soldier as well as even destroy a banished phantom but even if you kill mal you aren't out of the woods until his squadron falls and with all the ghosts and other enemies it can get overwhelming.

I made this looks fairly simple but I've tried doing this mission with a banshee, a wasp, warthogs you name it. It just gets too overwhelming so a scorpion is the way to go.

With this every optional boss is dead (until they add more) every fob is captured, and every base is destroyed. Time to continue the story probably to the endgame.
