Halo MC Collection Main Menu Theme extended!
1Well hey there folks and fellow YouTubers I am Nuclear-Skull87 and in today's video I decided to go ahead and upload another ambient video this time not of a Doom game but rather of a Halo game as a way to mix it up a little bit and that ambient video is of the main menu theme for Halo Master Chief Collection and I have extended it for around a full 1 hour long so you can all enjoy this epic masterpiece of orchestral sci-fi-goodness. It's also music like this that further exemplifies the post-9/11 themes in the Halo games revealing how they're very videogames of their time no doubt and this alone shows you how much the 9/11, 2001 Terrorist attacks changed the face of pop culture, as well as the colorful and giddy optimism of the 90s, was simply no more as the saying goes. This is sad, to say the least, because I remember growing up in that very colorful time as the 90s were happier and more optimistic due to the collapse of the Soviet Union which in turn ended the cold war leaving the United Of America as the sole super-power and very about pretty much ten years until the 9/11 terrorist attacks this colorful, sunny optimism was the name of the game.
This also brings back memories of when I used to live all the way up in Salem, Oregon about 15 or 16 years ago when my friend Johnathon Dougherty would play Halo (especially the second one) on his original Xbox in his room and boy o boy I remember what a person of that Naughty Aughties AKA 2000s timeframe he was as you can't more 2000s than the original two Halo games, he has now moved out to New Jersey with his dad all the way on the East Coast now and I am not sure how long they have been living there. Anyway, I have never been generally a huge fan of the aughties AKA 2000s myself as that dark, bleak cynical post-9/11 vibe just does not do it for I don't mind it by any longshot but I much prefer the 1980s and the 1990s before just because I prefer the more colorful and sunny vibe of those two decades. The 90s perhaps especially though.
