Halo's Secret Lore Origins: Ringworld and the Books That Inspired the Halo Story
149The Halo lore was inspired by books, its story's origins are in classic sci fi books. Even back in the 2000s, it was claimed that Halo’s story completely ripped off Larry Niven’s Ringworld. The reality is that Halo’s lore rips off lots of ideas from classic sci-fi stories of the 1970s and 80s. In this video we’re going to look at the complete Halo story, from its inception to release and look at all the books which inspired it.
This isn't just an "If you like Halo, read these books" listicle. I'll make the case that Halo is a piece of art, the result of the shared experiences of a like-minded individuals and is a worthy, original and unique piece of science fiction media itself.
