So I played Misao: Definitive Edition like back in April or something, but this is the original 2011 version. I think it's pretty much inferior to the remake in every way. For one, the graphics are a lot simpler than Definitive Edition's, and in my opinion, DE is much better for the improved graphics alone. The character sprites especially in DE look way better. The school map in DE is also a lot bigger and easier to navigate than this game's version. I will say though, this original game has three things that are better than DE. The rec room is a really cool unlockable, there's a cool puzzle involving colors that isn't in the remake, and there's no long intro of you wandering around the school where nothing interesting happens like there is in DE. Pretty much everything else is worse in this version. Especially with how the flashbacks are done, they save them all for the very end and it's too much exposition. Despite that, I still like the gameplay of this game. The plot though?

Okay, so this game is officially way worse than Mad Father in my mind for the plot alone. This game's plot is fucked up. I never swear in these descriptions, but I really hate how far the plot of this game goes, to the point I can't enjoy this game as much as I did when I was younger. I mostly hate that you can redeem Kurata, I know I did for the video, but that was to show the content. But explain to me why Hansy Fulr, my player character, would say "Besides, I know it myself. That you're kind at heart, Mr. Kurata. As much as things went astray... And that, I can appreciate... So Teacher, don't be sad anymore. I... Everyone... We all loved that kind teacher of ours." SHUT UP! Things gone astray is putting it lightly, he tried to rape a teenager, and when she fought back, he killed her! He's literally stabbing Misao's corpse over and over while you say this to him! Why was this a part of the game, why did they give you a choice to redeem this guy. I hate this game's plot so much, it ruins the game for me. At least this game is still fun to play. Mogeko Castle is literally one of the least fun games I've ever played, and that game had a shit plot too. But like Mogeko Castle was dumb and confusing, not offensive. Am I being too harsh on this game's plot? I don't know, maybe. I still like it. I still like Mogeko Castle too, and that game fucking sucks.
