It’s “Batman Day” this September 19, 2020, and as the world adjusts to these trying times, we are celebrating all things about the Caped Crusader through digital means and at home. To honor the occasion, I finally unboxed one of my long overdue action figures - DC Multiverse “Batman: Detective Comics #1000”!

Created by McFarlane Toys - who now hold the license to make figures from the DC Universe and beyond, this figure is inspired by Batman as he appears in the cover to “Detective Comics #1000” as drawn by Jim Lee. With Batman Day 2020 coinciding with another DC anniversary issue in “Detective Comics #1027” out this week (marking 1000 issues of Batman in the title), it was time to open this Dark Knight toy an review it!
