In this video I take the top off a 500GB Seagate 2.5" SATA hard drive. I also explain why you should always turn off or standby your laptop before putting it into a bag or moving it around.

The hard drive was already damaged before I did this and the only way to recover any data would have been a professional recovery company, which was beyond what owner was prepared to pay.
