288The mad scientist roared with fury as he wrestled against the several ton crane, trying to topple him over the edge. Claire kept her hand on the button, as if hoping it'll edge him over but Birkin was holding his ground. Pushed to the very edge, he began to shake violently against the crane's crushing force when a echoing screech started to escape from the metal frame work. He was gaining the upper hand. Slowly, Birkin started to push back, Claire was mortified. It was now or never, she took her hand from the controls and reached for Marvin's knife and in a moment of feral courage, she charged at the beat and sunk the blade in to Birkin's mutated eyes, plunging deep to the handle. His shoulder popped and recoiled and the crane overwhlemed him, throwing Birking off the platform and deep in the unknown...
