I know not talking during a 'Let's play' isn't really going to attract a lot of viewers, but I wanted to make vids about this good old classic game. I tried talking, but ended up pretty pointless, I'm not really used talking in English, so yeah better not talk at all then ruin it by saying something now and then. I'll be playing this pretty hardcore, although I'm not that of a big tactical genious, so this should be fun.

Anno 2011 I decided to play this awesome game again. It's been at least 13 years since I last played it for real.
Bought a new copy from GamersGate which runs in dosbox. I also used the tool XComUtil. Didn't use any of the 'cheats' in there, mostly bugfixing issues. I just used the defensive base starting position, double Gauss clip capacity and improved SWS from the considered 'cheats' which are balancing needs for me, not cheats.

I plan on only saving before and after a mission, which is considered pretty hardcore in this game. There is one exception I made for myself and that is when I can't find the last alien(s) I am allowed to save and use it again when things go really bad.

So yes a lot of aquanauts are going to die...
When I played this back in the 90's I saved tons of times during a mission, now it's time to play it like real men, I mean I'm double the age I was back then so no excuses ! Will be a real challenge for me as I tend to grow personal with my aquanauts...

Started the game on Veteran.

In the geoscape I will speed up the boring parts (x5 speed edited with sound for you few watchers!). I'll make normal speed and double speed video's (for missions), Geoscape footage will be 5x speed at least, only normal playback for alien activity.
