As a baseline I prefer Hardcore mode in my ARPGs. I generally get more out of the experience. Despite this I don't play HC in Diablo 3 - why is this? In this video I compare the core strengths of Diablo 3 & Path of Exile and how they relate to my enjoyment of the Hardcore mode.
