Dun Morogh is a snowy region at the heart of the Khaz Modan region, in Central Eastern Kingdoms. Dun Morogh is a very mountainous region, and as such, it is very secluded and only accessible by specific openings around the zone, and these openings are heavily guarded by dwarven troops.

Dun Morogh is the starting zone for Dwarves and Gnomes, and contains both the starting area, Coldridge Valley, and the capitals for both races: Ironforge, the seat of power of the dwarven kingdom of Khaz Modan, and Gnomeregan, the irradiated capital of the Gnomes that serves as a dungeon. From Ironforge, both the leader of the dwarves, King Magni Bronzebeard, and the leader of the gnomes, High Tinker Mekkatorque, lead their races.

As a starting zone, Dun Morogh is intended for level 1-10 Alliance players.

Trivia:
If you swim south from Wetlands, you will find a house at the coast of Dun Morogh. Known as Newman's Landing, this house hosts a lone Steamwheedle Cartel goblin.
