Tadaa! Welcome to the Year of the Dina!!! If ya didn't already know Year of Dina is what I say to manifest good things for me into this year of 2021 (in terms of fandom things). So far, it seems to be working. If you remember my Astra Lost in Space propaganda, welp you're gonna get this for World Trigger too. I would have done a hype vid pre the first episode buuut there weren't exactly clips that weren't covered with huge text in the preview. But Dina, there are credits in this vid, you say? WELL. It was too pretty not to edit with and this isn't an mep part so...screw it.
World Trigger getting an S2 is surreal...because the first season was...questionable with its pacing and animation, I wasn't here wishing for an S2...I was just waiting for Ashihara-sensei to get out of his hiatus and he did which was great. BUT DID I WELCOME THE ANIME ANNOUNCEMENT? HELL YES. Since I've been watching the Digimon reboot I managed to get my hopes up for t0ei upping their game...and...and THEY DID?!
So I watched the first ep on Sunday (over 24 hours after it aired lol...only for you Tash....only for you...) and we were screaming on skype throughout the whole opening because they reanimated the big moments from season 1 like...they did that...for us. Me and Tash subscribed to the WSJ magazine for world trigger...we recently looked up our first bought issues while we were at school and that was back in Sep 2013....we're so...old.
The upside of it releasing on Sat is that I can watch it with Tash but the downside is that I could only really edit this yesterday and today after work. But maybe the outcome of the edit would have been the same anyway. I didn't really want to use effects because I wanted to showcase that...they actually animated my show like this...I also used a bit of contrast for the some of the rooftop battle just cause otherwise it was hard to see stuff in the vid. But man editing this way is so fun...the satisfaction I get when the clips match the sounds...hehehe. (My fave parts are 0:53, 1:14 and 1:21...didn't mess with the clip timing and YET it goes).So basically this just turned out super self-indulgent ahahaha (as a lot of my edits are ig LOL)
One of my aim's for 2021 is to make a WT action amv...so due to ep1 being like this it looks like I'll be able to have enough pretty clips at the end of the season to make one for the season. (unless they say s3 is coming out summer in which case I might wait till then..we shall see).
Anyway, I'm excited for ep 2...haha Osamu, Yuma and Chika didn't speak in episode 1 even as the 3 other mains and I kiiinda doubt they will for the next 2 ish eps or so but I'm excited for when they do (the VAs are the thing t0ei got absolutely right though) Yuki Kaji as Osamu...they spent money on him LOL...and you know this season was made for already WT fans when s2 didn't put ANY recap at all. You don't know what's going on? Soz, they said. THAT SAID if ya want to read the manga the anime s1 stopped at chapter 120 so if ya want to read up and then continue onto watching s2...I'm just saying..I'm just saying..-cough, cough-
