Some see higher difficulty settings in games as only being there for an additional challenge or for bragging rights. But I've played many games where higher difficulties can completely transform the experience and provide greater context for the narrative and setting.

And I'd have never discovered these experiences if I wasn't willing to embrace a challenge.
