Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories (iOS)
3This was the second game in Natsume’s branch of farming game, after the separation with Marvelous. It’s a simple take on the franchise, somewhat reminiscent of the original game on SNES, but reusing the cast and look from their 3DS game.
The game is very easy and straight forward- as you can see I easily maxed out most of my tools during this short video, and the mines are easy to figure out… and it doesn’t quite look high end… but I actually find this to be a very cozy game. I can jump in and enjoy it even if I have to start a new file; it’s that kind of game.
The main objective of the game is to generate new memories by interacting with the townspeople (who somehow lost all their memories related to the farm) and doing certain tasks, collect enough “seeds of memories” and the Harvest Sprite Tree will regain its strength, thus restoring the farm and everyone’s memories about it.
There’s also the large variety of crops to mutate and unlock, so that’s kind of a “gotta plant them all” secondary objective. All things considered, you can squeeze a lot of content out of this little game.
As usual, the game and everything in it belongs to its rightful owners, I only record my gameplay for my own enjoyment.
