3Steam has just released a feature that let's you record games called steam game recording. With steam game recording you can record constantly in the background, record individually, edit and make clips, create highlights and screenshots. As well as other cool things like create a shareable link, copy and paste videos straight to discord and more.

Use the new Save/Share menu during or after play.
Timeline and event marking
The Steam Timeline appears whenever you’re actively recording. Timeline-enhanced games generate event markers as relevant game events happen. Steam achievements and screenshots automatically create markers as well.
