Haunted elevator forces me to collect flowers?! / Lets Play Not My Floor
Developed by SWLRW64 (which is - no offence - not the best developer name for any marketing purposes imaginable), this short indie horror game has it all: amazing atmosphere, interesting visuals, awesome music. What it doesn’t have is a sensical plot OR functioning gameplay, so despite me actually really loving the entire setup of the game, I did not enjoy it as much as I could have with a bit more purpose and a freaking button prompt that works.
Still, I’ll follow the dev to see what else they’re up to, and you can send them some love: https://swlrw.itch.io/not-my-floor
Also, here’s something fun from the nosleep reddit forum about the elevator game. Gives you the “rules” and some nice lore: https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/146arzb/i_played_the_elevator_game_and_ended_up_in_a/
And here’s the Wiki article about Elisa Lam who actually did not disappear but was found dead. The last time someone saw her, was from security camera footage inside of the building where she was later found, acting a bit strange. It is ultimately a very sad story, there is a possibility that Elisa had a bipolar episode but the circumstances of her death are quite dubious. She was only 21, so this must have been horrible for her parents, especially since she did inspire a lot of horror stories which is probably quite jarring for anyone who knew her personally. I know I am contributing to it by sharing this but since I mentioned it in the lets play, I figured it’s better to give you all the information instead of ignoring it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Elisa_Lam
