Haven - Part 1 - Kay & Yu
1Hey everyone and welcome to a new series of Haven on the Xbox series X.
This game is so unique, I have never played a game quite like it. We are introduces to the game with an beautiful cutscene that shows the characters to us.
We then jump straight into the game and are introduced to these characters properly. We find out there names are Yu & Kay. We find out that these two are lovers and are currently staying in a place called the nest. The nest runs out of energy and we learn about and energy source called flow.
We head outside to find some flow and find out our characters are able to glide around the area. there are blue threads that we can follow to collect the flow. This flow helps us get energy back in the nest and we are able to cook tea.
In these interactions we learn more about the characters and how there relation. Kay speaks about some people coming to collect them from a place called the Apiary, Yu does not want to talk about it at all.
Yu has been thinking about the conversation all day, she really does not want to go back to the Apiary, I wonder what happened there that makes Yu hate the place so much?
We head out to look for some food to help us survive on this planet. Whilst out the ground begins to shake, it looks like one of the islands has stared to explode and it knocks the nest. We could be in trouble if we don't fix it. We have to look for some equipment to help move the nest. We come across a small flow bridge that takes us to a different floating island.
We travel to the new island and we are able to not only find Appledews but also Rattlepepper. This will be great for trying out some new cooking recipes. We also come across a Lizard creature who has mushrooms growing out of its back. This planet is full of mysteries.
We travel to more islands and come across something pink on the floor. Check back as we investigate next time.
