1) For the mobile app, play a show
2) Tap on the CC icon from the bottom right
3) Unhighlight it to turn it off.
4) On the website, tap on the CC icon as the same
5) Now tap on the OFF option
6) That's all it takes to remove subtitles on HBO Max.
