We continue through gunner week for Monster Hunter: World I.C.E. where today's weapon overview is going to cover the Heavy Bowgun. The big difference that the HBG got over base World is what I'd call a Rise carry-over in a way. There's a Switch Skill in Rise that lets you tackle through attacks and to me, I might be mistaken, it feels like that's what the melee attack for HBG in I.C.E. is trying to emulate too. And I can see why they're giving the weapon this. Given how slow HBG is for moving the melee attack serves very little functionality for the weapon. But giving it a 'Hyper Armor' counter as it could be called makes it so you don't need to purely rely on dodging. Though it does take skill to time it correctly.
